3M 8959 Tartan Bi-Directional Filament Tape is reinforced along its length with continuous glass yarn filaments to give a very high tensile strength. Backing provides excellent abrasion, moisture and scuff resistance. Aggressive adhesive specifically formulated to provide balanced performance due to high adhesion and long-term holding power. 5.7 mil tape offers adhesion to steel 100 oz/inch of width, 6% elongation at break and 150 lb/inch of width tensile strength.
